Monmouth Surgical’s new range of Nitinol Expanding Oesophageal Stents offer unrivalled value for money. The stents are supplied sterile and pre-loaded into the application set so they are ready to use. The stents are manufactured from Nitinol with 4 radiopaque markers so they are easily positioned.
To make positioning even easier, the stent can be moved after deployment using the black easily identifiable nylon pull cord at each end of the stent ensuring positioning is correct every time. Each oesophageal stent is supplied with its own application set measuring 8mm in diameter, 70cm long and accepting a standard .038” guide wire.
A choice of distal or proximal placement stents are available - Distal placement should be used for most proceedures and means that during placement the stent shortens from the proximal end, whilst the Proximal placement should be used for very high strictures where the positioning of the proximal end of the stent is vital and the stent will therefore shorted from the distal end during placement.
